Connecting Paystack
Let clients pay invoices by card, straight into your own Paystack account.
Connect your own Paystack account and your clients can pay invoices by card from the client portal. The money settles in your Paystack account; DDM Flow never holds your clients' money. Without Paystack, clients pay by EFT into the bank account on your invoices.
Before you start
- You need a Paystack account for your business.
- Only the owner of the business in DDM Flow can connect, replace or disconnect it.
Connect
- In your Paystack dashboard, open Settings › API Keys & Webhooks and copy your secret key. On ddmflow.com this is your live key, which starts with
sk_live_. - In DDM Flow, go to Settings → Online payments, paste it into Secret key and press Connect Paystack. The key is checked with Paystack, stored encrypted and never shown again; only its last four characters are.
- Press Copy webhook URL and paste it into Paystack, under Settings › API Keys & Webhooks, as the Live Webhook URL.
The webhook is how Paystack tells DDM Flow a payment went through. Without it, a card payment is recorded only when your client comes back to the invoice after paying. Once it works, Last event from Paystack shows when Paystack last reached it.
What your clients see
Every unpaid invoice link shows Pay now next to your EFT details, and the invoice email's button reads Pay online. Pay now opens Paystack's secure page, and your client comes back to the invoice afterwards.
Changing or removing it
Replace key swaps in a new secret key. Disconnect deletes the stored key, and clients pay by EFT until you connect an account again.
