How does the 7-day free trial work?+

Sign up with just an email — no card required. You get full Pro access for 7 days. At the end, pick a plan or your workspace becomes read-only (you can still log in and export your data). We send a reminder before the trial ends so you're never auto-charged by surprise.

Can I cancel any time?+

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Plan & Billing. You'll keep access until the end of your current paid period. After that, your workspace becomes read-only — you can still log in and export your data.

How does the AI Assistant work?+

Available on the Pro plan. The Assistant uses your real workspace data (clients, items, invoices) to draft invoices, find unpaid invoices, record payments, and more. It's powered by Anthropic Claude via the Vercel AI Gateway, with zero training on your data.

Do you support South African VAT?+

Yes. Set your VAT rate (default 15%) in Settings → Tax Rates. It's applied automatically on every invoice line. Tax reports break out collected vs accrued.

How is my data secured?+

Your data lives in your dedicated Supabase workspace with row-level security — no other customer can see your data. Encrypted at rest and in transit. Hosted on Vercel (SOC 2 certified).

Can I import from QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero?+

CSV import for clients and items is available on every plan. Direct migration tooling from QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero is on our roadmap. If you need it before then, email us — we'll help manually.

What payment methods do my customers see on the portal?+

Card (via Paystack), EFT (your banking details displayed), and QR scan-to-pay. The portal link is included in every invoice email; customers click → land on a branded payment page → choose how to pay.

Can I use my own email to send invoices instead of yours?+

Yes — that's actually recommended. From the invoice detail page, click 'Download PDF', then attach it to your own email. Better deliverability + more personal than a generic noreply@ sender. The 'Email via Flow Invoicer' button exists too if you want automation.
